Dear Louie --- I made that commitment at Lambeth 1998 --- and would make
it again in even stronger language.  However, as I think you know, I was
retired even then (having gone to Lambeth as a chaplain --- and, other
than personal friendships and affirmations, have had little opportunity to
shape the policy decisions of the church.  However, the Diocese of
Indianapolis has not lacked for good leadership, and as I am sure you
already know, Cate Waynick has been very much involved in incorporating
into the full life of the church all the baptized.  Keep up the good work,
my friend, may God's blessings go with you.
