Thank you for your email concerning action in relation to the Lambeth
request.
 
We in the Diocese of Sydney are committed to listening to the experiences
of all persons including homosexual people.  In proclaiming the Gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ, my first concern is to assure all persons
including homosexuals that they are loved by God.
 
A number of our parishes has established ministries to and by homosexual
persons.  Our Diocesan welfare agency, Anglicare, has set up a special
AIDS link unit.  Several years ago, a small working group produced a
pastoral resource guide to care for homosexuals.  A copy of the  script
is attached.
